Stuttgart/2001 – 2002
»Erde 2.0«, the centrepiece of celebrations to mark the 50th anniversary of the State of Baden-Württemberg, aimed to present innovation as something rooted deeply in society, not just as a technical process. The exhibition, which was housed in a large convention center, comprised a scaffolding structure that filled the entire space. Three key areas, Living, Work and Transport, were segregated by means of amorphous translucent membranes. Exhibits in the eleven subsections were presented in a consistent way, deliberately avoiding eye-catching effects. The key topics »sustainability« and »protection of natural resources« were explained via audio, video, computer, and hands-on exhibits.
